Long threaded rod Packaging Solutions – Deformation and Rust Prevention Transportation Guide | FIXDEX & goodfix
As a professional threaded rod fastener manufacturer, FIXDEX understands that safe delivery is just as important as product quality. For long stainless steel threaded rod, improper packaging can easily lead to bending deformation and surface corrosion, resulting in irreversible damage. We use the following proven professional packaging solutions to ensure your products arrive at their destination intact.
I. How to Pack Long Threaded rods, and the Challenges of Packaging Long Thtreaded rod
Prone to Deformation: Threaded Rod with a large length-to-diameter ratio are prone to permanent bending under their own weight and external pressure.
Prone to Rust: Although stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, salt and moisture in sea or humid environments can still cause pitting or rust spots
II. FIXDEX’s Professional Packaging Process: Double Protection, Guaranteed Safety.
Custom-Reinforced Wooden Crates: Constructed with high-strength export-grade timber, ensuring stacking load-bearing capacity and impact resistance.
Multi-Point V-Shaped Support System: This is our core technology. Inside the crate, custom-designed V-shaped/U-shaped support frames are installed at fixed intervals (usually 1-1.5 meters) to suspend and fix the threaded rod, preventing sagging due to stress when lying flat.
Segmented Crate Design (for Extra-Long Items): For extra-long threaded rod exceeding 3 meters, we use a segmented connecting crate design to distribute stress and completely solve the “carrying pole effect.”
Key Protection Point 2: Comprehensive Rust Prevention, Ensuring a Smooth Surface
Precision Cleaning: Before packaging, all threaded rods undergo professional cleaning to thoroughly remove grease and contaminants.
VCI Rust Prevention Technology: Complete wrapping with vapor phase rust inhibitor paper (VCI Paper). This material continuously releases rust-inhibiting particles within a sealed space, forming a protective film on the metal surface, effectively protecting even grooved and threaded areas.
Humidity control: Sufficient silica gel desiccant is placed inside the packaging box to actively absorb residual moisture.
External waterproof sealing: The wooden crate, after inner packaging, is completely wrapped with a waterproof membrane to effectively resist sea salt spray and humid weather.
